Action and participation program

The Green Zone will be located on the river boulevard and other places in the city, is a space to encourage the participation of civil society, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and all those interested in the protection and conservation of biological diversity.

At the COP of the People this will be a space open to the public, its main objective will be to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences, inspire actions for the conservation of biodiversity and strengthen citizen participation in environmental decision making.

In the Green Zone you will find a variety of activities, such as conferences, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions of environmental projects, artistic presentations and networking activities.

Thanks to the national and international organizations from various sectors that submitted their events for the political-academic agenda. The application form closed on Friday, July 5 at 6:00 p.m. and the results will be available soon.

The Green Zone events are an effort of the organizations that signed up, in that sense the details of the agendas and registrations will be available soon in the official program.

This zone has the courage to meet, seek opportunities and advance the plan to save the planet's biodiversity. Below, you will find the thematic days that frame the academic, cultural and Multicolor Stripe events, to meet diverse voices that show the momentum, action and ambition from indigenous peoples to urban networks. This is where the essence of COP16, the COP of the People, materializes.
